According to the latest data from the Digital Innovation in Tourism Observatory at the School of Management of the Polytechnic University of Milan , 1 in 2 Italians is familiar shop with the role of a travel consultant, and 10% of digital tourists turn to one to plan their vacation. "This is an extremely interesting result considering that the travel consultant profession is still relatively new in our country," notes Gianpaolo Romano , CEO of CartOrange , the company that, just over twenty years ago, was the first in Italy to bet on an innovative approach to travel sales. A successful gamble: today, there are over 450 CartOrange consultants throughout Italy, and this model has become a model, so much so that CartOrange is a partner of the Digital Innovation in Tourism Observatory at the Polytechnic University of Milan .
